Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

All calculators run in your browser. Tire sizes, VIN numbers, pressure values, and other inputs you type into a calculator are processed locally and are not sent to our servers or stored, except where noted in Section 3 below.

2. Analytics and cookies

This site uses two third-party analytics services to understand which calculators are used and how visitors navigate the site:

• Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — records page views, approximate location (city/country level), device type, and referral source using cookies.
• Microsoft Clarity — records anonymized session behavior (clicks, scrolls, page navigation) to identify usability issues.

Neither service is configured to collect names, email addresses, or payment information. You can block these cookies with your browser's privacy settings or an extension such as a GA opt-out add-on without affecting calculator functionality.

3. AI Insight feature

Calculators with a “Get AI Insight” button send the numeric values you entered into that calculator to a third-party language model API to generate a plain-language summary. This only happens when you click the button — it never fires automatically. The request contains calculator inputs only (e.g. tire size, pressure, load index); it does not include your name, IP address logging beyond what the API provider needs to serve the request, or any identifying information you have not typed into the calculator itself.

4. How information is used

Analytics data is used to identify which calculators need improvement and to measure site performance. It is not sold or shared with data brokers, and it is not combined with information from other sources to build a profile of you personally.

5. Third-party links

Some pages link to external sites (tire manufacturers, government DOT resources). This policy does not cover those sites — check their own privacy policies before sharing information with them.

6. Children's privacy

This site is intended for general audiences interested in vehicle maintenance and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

7. Data retention

Analytics records are retained according to the default retention settings of Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Calculator inputs sent to the AI Insight feature are processed to generate a response and are not stored by us afterward.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the site adds or removes features. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
