Tire Speed Rating Lookup
Find the maximum sustained safe speed in mph and km/h for your tire's specific speed rating letter.
Quick Answer
A tire with an "H" speed rating is certified to safely handle sustained speeds up to 130 mph (210 km/h). This is the most common OEM rating for modern family sedans, crossovers, and minivans, offering a good balance of ride comfort, tread life, and highway stability.

How Speed Ratings Work
N/A — Standardized ETRTO table lookup (no formula; values are fixed by regulation)
- Speed Rating = the single alphabetical letter found at the very end of a tire size sequence
- ETRTO = European Tyre and Rim Technical Organisation — sets the global standard
- ZR designation = older marking for tires above 149 mph; modern tires add W or Y for exact limits
- Example: Input "V" → Output: 149 mph / 240 km/h
